Allendale-Fairfax High School Graduate Javarius Youmans Wins the First Ever 2020 Bridge Builder Excellence Award from SCFHOF July 23, 2020 Greenville, SC: The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame announced the winner for the inaugural 2020 Bridge Builder Excellence Award “BBEA” that annually recognizes high school football players for their accomplishments in the community, in the classroom and on the field. All the nominees were selected from 300 high schools statewide on the following criteria: · Football Participation = 30% · Academics – Minimum 3.2 GPA = 40% · Exemplary School, Character, Community Citizenship, and Leadership = 30% During Thursday evening‘s livestream awards ceremony, Javarius Youmans (Allendale-Fairfax High School/North Greenville University) received the award for his accomplishments during the 2019-2020 school year. Javarius is a leader in every area of life. He is a hardworking student and athlete, and he is well respected at both school and in the community. Javarius is driven to be successful while maintaining an attitude of complete respect for all those around him. He is also involved in his church community. He is also successful in the classroom, earning a 3.7+ GPA at Allendale-FairfaHigh School. He is a recruited athlete and is attending North Greenville University where he can play football and major in Computer Engineering. In 2019, Javarius was named the Region 5-AA Linebacker of the Year, named to the All-Region Team, was selected as Team Captain by his peers, and was chosen six times as the Player of the Week. He also was selected to play in the WJBG CSRA GA/SC Border Bowl as a linebacker. “Javarius shows great strength in his ability to lead effectively.
