March 18, 2025 – Hornets Sports & Entertainment and Ally Financial Inc. (NYSE: ALLY) announced today that the two organizations will host their second Fueling Futures presented by Ally Financial event at Spectrum Center on Wednesday, March 19. The initiative will bring 50 local students from four Charlotte-Mecklenburg high schools, including West Mecklenburg, North Mecklenburg, Phillip O. “We’re thrilled to work with our friends at Ally Financial to put on another impactful Fueling Futures event for high school students in our community,” said Hornets Sports & Entertainment Vice President of Partnerships Leslie Finch. “We have a really intentional day planned for these students, with the goal of exposing attendees to career opportunities within the sports industry, educating them about financial literacy and inspiring participants to dream big and start thinking about their futures today.”

As part of the event, attendees will participate in a “Money Matters” financial education session, receive a tour of Spectrum Center and attend a series of hands-on breakout sessions led by HSE leaders on topics ranging from Pathway to Sports to Fostering the Fans. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with several NC-based colleges and universities as part of the event. In addition to the education-focused agenda, Fueling Futures presented by Ally Financial will feature a special appearance from Hornets forward Grant Williams and Hornets Legend Dell Curry.

“At Ally, we’re intentional about reducing barriers to economic mobility, and Fueling Futures helps inspire students by exposing them to career opportunities across all types of industries here in our hometown,” said Ally Sr. Director of Corporate Citizenship Natalie Brown. “The students’ curiosity shows their potential, and we get to see a glimpse of the bright futures they will create for themselves.”
