But is it perfect timing?

Part 2 of my thoughts

The NFL is one of the sneakiest and most conniving organizations in all of sports.

While I’m excited to see Sanders finally get his first start, I’m also extremely concerned about the circumstances. He’s been given minimal reps…not just with the starters, but even with the backups …and now he’s expected to perform with a sore arm and little preparation?

To me, it feels like a setup.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the organization is throwing him out there with nothing to work with, only to prove themselves right about why he was drafted late. It’s an old trick …give a guy a shot under the worst possible conditions, watch him struggle, and then use it as an excuse to bury him on the practice squad or keep him as a fourth-string option.

This isn’t just about one game. It’s about how easily the system can work against talented players who weren’t handpicked as high-profile picks. I’m pulling for Sanders all the way …but let’s not ignore what he’s really up against.
