On March 13, 2025, Clemson University hosted its annual Pro Day at the Poe Indoor Facility, providing NFL prospects an opportunity to showcase their skills to NFL scouts and executives. Notably, all 32 NFL teams were represented, with Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin attending in person. Additionally, NASCAR scouts were present, exploring potential candidates for pit crew positions.
Key performances from the Pro Day include:
Barrett Carter (Linebacker):Recorded 22 bench press reps at 225 lbs and a 40-yard dash time of 4.64 seconds.
Payton Page (Defensive Tackle):Impressed with 27 bench press reps and a 40-yard dash time of 5.13 seconds.
Jake Briningstool (Tight End):Participated in position drills, showcasing his route-running and pass-catching abilities.
Aidan Swanson (Punter):Kicked off the event with a brief punting exhibition outside the facility.
In addition to the on-field activities, interviews were conducted with players recovering from injuries, such as Phil Mafah (Running Back) and Marcus Tate (Offensive Lineman), providing insights into their rehabilitation progress.
Overall, the event served as a significant platform for Clemson’s athletes to demonstrate their talents to professional scouts across multiple sports.
