Big Day for USofC

In a bit of shocking news, former 5 star and Oklahoma Sooner QB Spencer Rattler announced his decision to transfer to the University of South Carolina last night. Adding to that bit of news was the fact that fellow Sooner Austin Stogner would be transferring to play under former TE coach Shane Beamer at USC. These moves solidify an already impressive off-season for the first year head coach. 

Shane Beamer was the recruiting coordinator under former SC coach Steve Spurrier and oversaw the recruitment of the most highly touted classes in South Carolina history. As of this writing, SC has the #12 recruiting class in the nation on Rivals as well as the #5 transfer portal recruiting class. 

This is certainly turning out to be an impressive first recruiting cycle for Beamer and company.  While it is yet to be determined how Rattler plays as a Gamecock, one thing is certain. He has brought much needed enthusiasm and attention to the South Carolina football team.
